Max HeyraudToday we premiere an excellent experimental electronic track that still hits as a club orientated tool from Dublin based DJ and producer Outl1er. This fit’s somewhere between Skee Mask, Burial and Blawan and it’s an impressive second release from the budding producer.
Irish native Outl1er returns following his debut release on SafeHaus Selects (SS001), presenting his most accomplished body of work to date. Drawing on elements of Jungle, IDM & Bass Music, Outl1er blurs lines in his three track EP “Lethe” and offers his interpretation of the juxtaposed relationship between hard and soft sound palettes.
We premiere the second track from the ‘Lethe’ EP. Dancing around the 170BPM spectrum “Playtime” takes no rush in its climax and delivery, offering a warped version of nostalgia met with quick cuts of playful percussion.
The track is accompanied by warped music video shot around Dublin that is reminiscent to some previous videos from Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, which is always a good thing.
