A decade of Four Four Magazine. Thank you.
In 2026, we celebrate ten years of Four Four with a series of gigs, panels, workshops and events marking what has been an incredible journey so far. Alongside this, we’re proud to share our new identity, which you’ll see more of throughout the day.
Back in 2016, this started as a passion project, a belief in the depth of Irish electronic music, and a desire to give it a voice at a time when what was happening here felt largely ignored by the global dance press.
What followed speaks for itself. Club residencies, podcasts, festival appearances and curations, alongside news, interviews, and opinion pieces when they mattered. More importantly, it’s been about platforming local artists and consistently raising our voice for the people shaping electronic music on this island.
A lot has happened in ten years. It hasn’t always been easy being an artist or a creative in this country. We’ve seen clubs close, artists leave, and promises fall flat. Being an independent electronic magazine in Ireland hasn’t been easy either, we’ve lived through a global pandemic, the erosion of late-night culture, and the exodus of so many artists.
Yet we’re still here, backs against the wall at times, but never wavering from the idea we started with and still banging the drum for club culture on the Emerald Isle.
