One of the standout festivals of last year Beyond The Pale returns for its second edition with Jon Hopkins, Hot Chip, Leftfield, Candi Station, Joy Orbison & more. We cover everything you need to know ahead of the three-day festival this weekend.

Beyond The Pale Festival returns this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Glendalough Estate in Co. Wicklow. One of the most anticipated festivals of the summer offers three days of music, art, a food village, bars, and more. Lineup

The line-up features Jon Hopkins, Thundercat, Hot Chip, Leftfield, Grace Jones, Morcheeba, Candi Station, Pillow Queens, and many more. The arts program includes Art Installations, a new comedy stage featuring Deirdre O’Kane, Emma Doran, and Gearoid FarrellyThere’s a Food Village and Food demos with chefs and a wellness program with yoga, massages, sauna meditation, and more. Some electronic act’s to keep an eye out for over the weekend are Joy Orbison, Soichi Terada, Marie Davidson, DJ Seinfeld, Sofia Kourtesis, Ricky Chong, David Kitt, Colin Devine, and more.

Transport

Bus: Beyond the Pale is at Glendalough estate, just 30 minutes from south Dublin. Marathon coaches will be providing a bus service running from Custom House Quay in Dublin City Centre, starting at 11 am on Friday, June 16th, it will return on Sunday night at 11 pm and Sunday night/Monday morning at 1 am or Monday morning from 11 am. Return tickets are €35 and available to buy here.

Driving: The festival has a new festival entrance this year, follow these simple instructions 1. Enter Roundwood, Co Wicklow into you4 Sat Nav 2. Follow the Festival Signage 3. Entrance Via Oldbridge.

Alcohol Allowance

Campers can bring 1 case of Beer (24 Cans) or 2 bottles of wine, 1 x Litre of Spirits. Glass bottles and mirrors are not allowed there will be strict checks at the entrance to ensure the allowance is being adhered to.

Parking

Parking is allocated as close to the entrance as possible which is only a mere 10-minute walk from the Campsite. Parking is free and we strongly recommend carpooling where possible.

Opening Times

The festival site opens at 12pm on Friday, with music starting in the main arena at 4pm. The campsite will close at 12pm on Monday, June 19th.

Age Restrictions

Beyond The Pale Festival is an over-21’s event, there is a family camping and under-12 children Tickets are available to purchase from the website.

Food & Drink

There will be an array of Food onsite with some top Irish food names cooking over the weekend including Happy’s, Órale, Bish Bosh, The Big Blue Bus, Little Dumpling, Kerala Kitchen, and lots more. Also, craft beer from Whitehag and crafty cocktails. Our bars will be card only.

Photography

Photography is permitted with a smartphone or small camera. All professional cameras and any other recording equipment are banned.

Weather Forecast

The forecast is for humid and warm weather with sunny spells with temperatures of 19-22 degrees but this is Ireland the festival will happen rain or shine! So wear decent outdoor footwear, Waterproofs and bring sunscreen too!
