Dublinโs no-frills, purpose-built dance space, FRAME, has unveiled its autumn/winter programme, bringing a run of house and techno selectors to Liffey Street from September through December, alongside a strong showing of local talent.
The upcoming season sees the concept nightclub collaborate with (๐๐ฅ๐ง)๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, Circles Festival, Hidden Love, Hybrid Events and Subject, with a programme that draws on some of Europeโs most sought-after house and techno names.
At the heart of FRAMEโs approach is a deliberate rejection of the spectacle that has increasingly come to define modern clubbing. Rather than putting the emphasis on elaborate production, lighting or a traditional stage setup, the venue places the focus firmly on the room, the sound and the people inside it.
The team describe FRAME as โa strong soundsystem, a place for people to worry less about whatโs going on outside and more about inside, minimal lighting, podiums, and a space that we think retains some Dublin essence.โ
The result is a stripped-back club environment built around the fundamentals of dance music: a powerful soundsystem, a focused room and a crowd that comes to engage with the music rather than the spectacle surrounding it.
