Dublin’s Index is set to launch Loose Ends, a new weekly Thursday series designed to bring a much-needed midweek lift to the city’s club culture.
The party aims to fill the gap left in Dublin’s once-strong midweek scene, which has struggled to recover in the years following COVID-19.
The opening night takes place on Thursday, September 25th, with Donegal-based producer Cody Wong headlining. Recognised as one of Ireland’s brightest emerging talents, Wong will be joined by local favourites Lia and Viki Dos Santos, who go back-to-back on the night.
Loose Ends is pitched as a chance to reignite a tradition in Dublin nightlife. The city’s midweek parties were once just as important as weekends, providing vital opportunities for local DJs to hone their craft, test new material and play to bigger crowds without the pressure of the international-heavy weekend circuit.
Midweek parties helped shape some of Ireland’s most recognisable names today, from KETTAMA, Shampain and Tommy Holohan playing for Tea Party, to Boots & Kats, George Feely and others cutting their teeth at Toast, as well as Öbskur and Chantel Kavanagh holding down midweek slots at Konspiracy Club.
With the decline of midweek culture in recent years, caused by venue closures and shifting nightlife habits, Loose Ends hopes to restore that breeding ground for experimentation, community and growth in Irish clubbing.
Tickets are on sale now here, with a limited number of free launch-night tickets available. Fans can also enter a competition to win a Golden Ticket here, which grants access to all future Loose Ends Thursdays. To take part, entrants must tag three friends and repost the official launch poster.
