Limerick-based artists Chaz Moloney & Brawni have launched their new party, Hardware, a new conceptual club night that will take place quarterly in the Belltable Theatre. The club night’s objective is to feature a comprehensive roster of live and improvised acts, allowing performers to bring their uncompromising style to a specialised club space.

Limerick’s latest club night, Hardware, is spearheaded by two of the most influential Limerick-based artists right now, Chaz Moloney and Brawni. The new party’s focus is on live electronic performance, craving out a space to bring electronic musicians from all corners of Ireland in a collaborative effort to create a space dedicated to improvisational music.

SIONNA co-founder Chaz Moloney piloted a club night in the Belltable Theatre in December. The sold-out showcase focussed on an analogue approach to club nights in his hometown of Limerick as all performers played on live electronics or on records.

The first edition of Hardware launches on Paddys weekend – the 16th of March. Chaz & Brawni have invited electronic stalwarts Paddy Mulcahy & Rustal to join them for the debut night. The club night will be soundtracked by the deep and kaleidoscopic sounds of ambient, techno, electro & electronica for a four-hour live improvisation session.

Local visual artists; Alt For Jesus, Diabhall 666, Fannylander, Glossy Boi, Manky & Ohhi Ohno will be exhibiting work on the night to the theme of “ENERGY”. The exhibition will be curated by Ohhi Ohno & the artists will have works available for purchase on the night.
