Max HeyraudFollowing on from a string of successful gigs in Berlin’s M01, Ireland’s community-based techno collective Nexus is debuting in New York at The Chocolate Factory with PageOne, Offtrack, Aoife, Hooligan, Meda-Ava and more on the 13th of April.
The third edition of Nexus sees the crew’s most ambitious project yet, as a host of Irish techno selectors set sail to New York, for what will be most the crew’s debut in America and the crew is teaming up with Known for curating immersive experiences, Ireland’s nomadic techno collective Nexus teams up with Solace NY and Shift NY to deliver a lineup packed with raw talent and uncompromising sound.
Nexus embodies its name—“a connection or series of connections linking two or more things.” The collective fosters a space where people from all walks of life come together under the umbrella of freedom and techno, creating an inclusive and safe environment free from racism, sexism, hate, or violence of any kind. At Nexus, it’s all about unity through sound.
The event kicks off at 10 AM with no set end time and is within walking distance of New York’s infamous techno haven, Basement, which typically wraps up around the same time as Chocolate Factory.
