Irish DJ and activist Claw is set to host The T Party, a night of trans-led art, resistance and celebration on Tuesday, June 10th at Paradiso, Amsterdam.
Held in Paradiso’s intimate Upper Room, the event is co-produced with community organiser Sebastien, creative producer Jeike, and Paradiso Melkweg Productiehuis, with a focus on trans and nonbinary voices.
With roots in Dublin’s DIY rave scene and a reputation for fiercely political, Claw is no stranger to channelling dance music as a force for change. The T Party reflects that ethos, showcasing an exclusively trans lineup that includes live performance, spoken word, visual art, and DJ sets. The program features Sebastien Sutherland, Amor, Shishani, Andrea, and Claw.
“The T Party is our response to a world that’s growing increasingly hostile to trans lives,” says co-organiser Claw. “We felt compelled to create a space that speaks out against injustice while celebrating the joy, artistry, and resilience of our community.”
Ireland may be regarded for its progress on LGBTQ rights, but anti-trans sentiment is on the rise. Trans communities are facing increased intolerance and media scapegoating, echoes of a global backlash. The T Party responds with defiance, transforming transgender creativity into both survival and resistance.
