Jeff Mills has released a new EP under his Millsart alias via Axis Records, titled Space Outside Space. The release follows a thought-provoking billboard campaign across Detroit, aimed at sharpening our perception of what is, and what isn’t, techno.

Part of the Axis Expressionist Series, Space Outside Space is a four-track EP that delves into abstract concepts and personal interpretation. As Millsart explains:

“The meaning of this concept (Space Outside : Space) lies within your answers to these questions. Providing the questions are considered with honesty, the true meaning of what ‘Space’ refers to becomes revealed.
There are no right or wrong answers, just reactions based on your view and angles on the mechanisms of life.”

The Axis Expressionist Series is a curated collection of vinyl releases from Millsart, an alias that showcases Jeff Mills’ more eclectic and transcendental compositions. Drawing from his Every Dog Has Its Day project and previously unreleased works, the series delves into the more introspective and narrative-driven aspects of electronic music. It’s crafted for the seasoned techno listener, emphasising storytelling and the artistry behind the sound.
