The iconic Dutch venue Gashouder is officially set to reopen, marking the return of one of Amsterdam’s most distinctive event spaces after a period of closure and renovation.

Located in the heart of the Westerpark area, the Gashouder has long hosted some of Europe’s most influential club nights, art installations, and large-scale cultural events. Its reopening is expected to restore a major hub for the city’s nightlife, reinforcing Amsterdam’s reputation as one of the world’s leading destinations for club culture and electronic music.

The club announced today that it will reopen with a series of “pre-opening” events, ahead of its full relaunch. Among the first confirmed performances is Dutch DJ Job Jobse, who will play the venue on October 23rd.

The early programme also includes a diverse lineup of cultural events, featuring a live performance of Hildur Guðnadóttir’s score for Chernobyl, the contemporary art exhibition UNFAIR, and a show by Swedish metal band Avatar.

While the full reopening schedule has not yet been released, anticipation is already building for what is expected to be a significant return for one of Amsterdam’s most iconic cultural spaces.
