This week’s Local Selection guest is Berlin-based DJ hi.fí, whose high-energy mix crashes together rave nostalgia, trawling grooves, and dancefloor anthems in a genre-blurring, joy-fuelled ride.

Based in Berlin by way of Dublin, hi.fí is a queer DJ whose sets are a joyous ride through rave euphoria, bass-heavy bops, and unpredictable sonic left-turns. Though only a year into her DJ journey, she’s already played across various acclaimed dancefloors at clubs like RSO, ÆDEN, Zur Klappe, Arkaoda, and Crack Bellmer, bringing infectious energy and a fearless sense of play to every set.

A resident on Refuge Worldwide, hi.fí helms FLURFUNK, a FLINTA-focused radio show dedicated to amplifying fresh sounds and underrepresented voices. She’s also a co-founder of CALABADDIES, a femme-forward collective throwing purpose-driven parties and building spaces rooted in care, community, and collective joy, not just hedonism.

This mix, in her own words, “represents my summer soundtrack so far: a collision of styles, sounds, and surprises, blending deep cuts and dancefloor anthems from some of my favourite producers into one fluid, high-energy journey of rave, bops, and nostalgia.” It’s a perfect reflection of hi.fí’s spirit: vibrant, inclusive, and irresistibly fun.
