Max HeyraudStep back in time as Pipuda takes you on a scorching power hour of hardhouse, hard trance and rave-drenched energy for Local Selection 323.
Formerly known as polishpau, Pipuda has been collecting records for years, exploring and experimenting across different genres, with techno remaining her occasional side lover. Yet her heart has always belonged to the old-school sounds of hard trance and hardhouse. A passionate vinyl-only DJ, she has brought her selections to various vinyl markets and played gigs at Racket Space, as well as the Absys Records anniversary party at Wigwam.
For Local Selection 323, Pipuda delivers a high-energy rush of fast-paced, melodic hard trance and hardhouse, inflamed by old-school nostalgia and a playful, untamed spirit. The intention is to capture something both powerful and deeply emotive: to pull you into a world of sounds that hit hard while lifting your soul, stirring memories of an era some will remember living through and others may never have experienced, yet can somehow feel nostalgic for all the same.
This mix sounds like it could have been ripped straight from the late ’90s. No holds barred, no time for restraint: brazen transitions, off-the-cuff selections and unapologetic, in-your-face cuts. It’s raw, unruly and gloriously excessive, a refreshing kick in the teeth, hitting like a throat-tingling shot of potent whiskey. Pure old-school rave power, made for those who live on the harder edges of the dancefloor and like their music fast, bold and brash.
