Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack has co-curated a 13-track soundtrack for Life Support, a documentary following medical teams working in Gaza.
Released October 28 via Battle Box, the album features original compositions by Del Naja and Habib Shehada Hanna, alongside tracks from Kneecap, Paul Weller, David Holmes, Yasmine Hamdan, 47Soul and more.
Directed by Daniele Rugo and narrated by Andor actor Denise Gough, Life Support follows medics working in Gaza over a two-year period. With international journalists barred from entering the territory, the documentary presents their experiences as a record of conditions on the ground and the realities faced by medical workers and civilians.
“The music composed for Life Support strikes a very difficult balance,” director Daniele Rugo said, explaining how the soundtrack adds emotional depth without overwhelming the film’s images and testimony.
All profits from the vinyl release will go to the Health Workers 4 Palestine solidarity fund.
