This week’s Mix Of The Week comes from one of Ireland’s fastest up and comers in techno, Aoise. The youngster played a well orchestrated set for Labworks Life Festival Launch Party last weekend, and lucky for us it’s been recorded. Strap in for deep, dark and menacing techno cuts from a very bright techno talent.

The young DJ and producer is a graduate of the Sunil Sharpe, Doug Cooney and DeFeKT school of excellence, having studied DJ techniques and music production at BIFE. There have been many high hitters to come from this course and after hearing Aoise’s take on tunes we look forward to what’s in store for her.

Her sound stems from dark, dubby techno that has developed and matured through the years, taking inspiration from the likes of Ø [Phase], Sterac, Oscar Mulero and Sleeparchive.

Having shared lineups with some of Europe’s heavy hitters Christoph Faust (FKA Inhalt Der Nacht), Sunil Sharpe, Tommy Holohan and Shampain, we expect to see much more of her in the future.

Aoise ran provided a controlled techno trip, running through minimal and hypnotic tracks mixed to perfection. The mix is dark and mysterious, while maintaining great energy. This is a great example of a warm up done properly, DJs take note.
