This week’s entry to the Mix Of The Week is a first, as we showcase a mix live from our own party, with BANSHE presenting her mix live from Tengu as part of our second Future Éire party, shining a light on Ireland’s emerging selectors, and none more exciting than BANSHE.

BANSHE lays down an hour of sizzling UKG-adjacent cuts, from straight-up classic, bumping two-step to more contemporary, house-kissed lush grooves and electro-adjacent locked rhythms. It’s a marriage of old and new, wedded through the eyes of a contemporary DJ whose knack for melding together a concoction of sonic aesthetics is quickly garnering attention.

The young artist gripped the red-lit Tengu dancefloor by the scruff of the neck, wasting no time in letting the crowd know what they’re in for: a barrage of house and garage’s most lauded current producers, with tracks from Silva Bumpa, Chris Stussy, Hannah Holland, Soul Mass Transit System and more.

With an hour to convey her point, BANSHE races through colossal anthem after colossal anthem, leaving little time to think or stop moving. From in-your-face basslines to shooting stabs, crisp percussive knots and grandiose breakdowns, it feels as if BANSHE is leaving no stone unturned, letting everyone know exactly who she is by the time her USB is ejected and her headphones are packed away.
