This week’s Mix Of The Week comes from Rush via Malta as Tommy Holohan steps up for the 42nd edition of the Glitch Podcast. The Rave Selekts boss weaves through a sun-kissed selection of 90’s leaning shuffling grooves as the London based selector cuts up glossy dub chords, acid wrenchers, locked rollers and more.

Running off the back of mammoth set at Life Festival on the Steel City Dance Discs stage, Tommy Holohan releases his first podcast of the year for Malta based Glitch. Following an apperance at the festival last year, Holohan now steps up with a blistering mix for the label & festivals podcast series, following in the footsteps of Laura van Hal, Narciss, Yan Cook, Schacke & more who have featured on the series.

2023 has been a busy year for Rush native, holding down a busy touring schedule as well as releasing his first single of the year ‘Heavens Passage’ on Steel City Dance Discs. Show’s across Sydney, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Glasgow and more are a clear indication of an artist that is running at full-speed.

Tommy Holohan’s contribution to the Glitch mix series see’s the selector call on silky 90’s inspired grooves perfectly soundtracking the early hours, reaching for lush chord stabs and trance-licked melodies across a bed of jagged percussive grooves. Tommy’s deep-knowldege for hardgroove and early 00’s records is unmatched, and the Rave Selekts boss is often credited for the resurgence in the genres popularity. This is a young master flexing his grasp of shuflling techno, easily jolting in and out of tracks, blending trance nuances with squelaching acid, before arriving back at coppered techno grooves. A trip around Tommy’s collection is always a delight.
