This week’s entry into the Mix Of The Week comes from Dublin’s Jazzy, who delivered a special one-off DJ set on St. Patrick’s Day, live from Phebes Tavern pub in New York.

Her latest instalment of the GEWAH series made its way to New York. GEWAH is a collection of DJ mixes and guest mixes curated by the Dublin-based DJ and producer, Jazzy. The series features both her own mixes and contributions from other artists. Recent editions include GEWAH: LONDON (DJ Mix) and GEWAH: WOMEN OF DANCE (DJ Mix), the latter celebrating female artists in electronic music. The series also highlights up-and-coming talent, with guest mixes like the one from Kayleigh Glynn.

In the New York edition, Jazzy expertly blended iconic Irish deep house classics, including tracks from herself and Belters Only, along with club anthems like Livin’ Joy’s Dreamer and Peggy Gou’s [It Goes Like] Nanana.

The setting was as quintessentially Irish as you’d think. Guinness pouring from every corner, Irish jerseys proudly worn, smiles smacked across the faces of all, and an unmistakable air of patriotic fervour. The venue, bursting with the spirit of thousands of Irish expats and descendants, set the perfect stage. As Ireland’s chart-topping artist, Jazzy embodied the essence of the Emerald Isle, delivering a set that stirred a deep sense of pride in anyone fortunate enough to witness it.
