Co-founder of Dublin based collectives Crane Club and Common Ground, darkmavis steps up to the infamous Berlin bathroom. Mark has come equipped with an experimental and tough array of tracks to mark his Hör debut.
Mark primarily produces experimental electronic music with influences taken from a variety of genres such as hardcore, experimental pop, gabber, techno, trance, club and jungle, reflecting in his playing styles, which he comfortably switches between during sets.
Mark has been hard at work in the studio and has several releases to his name. Collaborations with Sweet Philly and Sohotsospicy have been met with great acclaim and raking up the plays on Soundcloud.
Mixes on Reboot, Four Four Mag, Project Radio and more have been showcasing Marks broad spectrum of dance music as of late. Mark is known for running through a multitude of genres within a set and has garnered a name for playing big and bold selections. From trance, hard dance, techno, gabber, jungle and more, it’s fair to say Mark likes the hectic side to dance music yet mixes it with supreme composure.
For Marks debut for Hör the young selector has stayed true to his eclectic style of DJing. The Dublin based selector runs through techno, trance, breaks, hardcore and more in pacey hour. Marks selection is somewhat melodic while still remaining very tough and driving. Splendid blends are met powerful kicks and uplifting melodies. This is both sinister and peaceful, a cathartic trip through darkmavis’s library of music.
