Sion steps in for the fifth instalment of the Nascadh Mix Series, a new platform dedicated to supporting and empowering FLINTA artists within Irish club culture. Since its launch, the series has welcomed an exciting roster of selectors including DJ Sprinkles, Mate Kason, MISS LIPBALM and Azalea, while also bringing the collective’s sound to the dancefloor with a takeover at Dublin’s Pawnshop.
Hailing from the beautiful surrounds of Leitrim in Ireland’s northwest, Sion has been carving out hr place in Ireland’s club scene for over two years. During that time, she has brought her sound to venues across Dublin and Sligo, building a reputation for versatile sets that explore the many corners of her eclectic sonic palette.
For her contribution, Sion serves up a bass-heavy selection that captures the sounds currently dominating her rotation, weaving together crisp percussion, deep low-end pressure and the rhythmic swing of breaks, garage and electro. The mix showcases her ability to move seamlessly between genres while maintaining a strong sense of atmosphere and raw jackin’ party energy.
