A major contender for gig of the year has just been announced, as electronic music icons Moby and Faithless confirm a huge outdoor Dublin show for summer 2026.

The landmark concert will take place at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Royal Hospital Kilmainham, on Friday 21 August 2026, subject to licence.

The show marks Moby’s first major Dublin appearance since 2005, when he played Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan. One of the most decorated and influential figures in electronic music history, Moby released his breakthrough single “Go” in 1991, later named by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest records of all time. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has released numerous albums and sold over 20 million records worldwide.

Beyond his own recordings, Moby has built an extraordinary career as a producer and remixer, collaborating with artists as diverse as David Bowie, Public Enemy, Ozzy Osbourne, Beastie Boys and Daft Punk, cementing his status as a cross-genre innovator.

Joining him on the night are Faithless, one of the most influential electronic acts ever to emerge from the UK. Formed in London in 1995, the group are best known for era-defining anthems including “Insomnia,” “God Is a DJ,” “Salva Mea” and “We Come 1.” Fronted by the late Maxi Jazz, alongside core members Rollo and Sister Bliss, Faithless have sold millions of records worldwide and remain celebrated for their emotionally charged, powerful live performances.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, 6 February at 10am, via www.ticketmaster.ie.
