Max HeyraudG-TOWN RECORDS present their debut festival at the Heineken Big Top in Galway on July 23rd. The festival will see KETTAMA take to the stage in his hometown for the first time in four years, and both KETTAMA & Shampain will be inviting a number of guests to perform on the day.
Established in 2021 after over 5 years of groundwork, G-TOWN RECORDS have teamed up with the Galway Arts Festival and the Róisín Dubh to host a takeover of the iconic Heineken Big Top for a momentous night in the West of Ireland’s premier city. Founded in tandem by DJs KETTAMA and Shampain, the label has seen four releases to date, sold-out shows all over Europe and a deep rooted connection to the city from which the duo spawned their respective musical careers.
Headlining the tent will be KETTAMA himself, returning to his hometown for his first show there since 2019. A lot has happened since then; trips all over the world; playing clubs and festivals in the US, Australia, Japan, mainland Europe and up and down the UK. Having released twice on G TOWN RECS itself, along with Steel City Dance Discs, Ninja Tune and a variety of other different labels to go along with memorable radio appearances and mixes, the Galway man has solidified himself as one of dance music’s most in-demand and prolific names across the entire globe.
Both KETTAMA & Shampain‘s mission from day one of their journey with G-TOWN RECORDS has been to broadcast their hometown on the world scale of dance music. Having both gone onto to achieve a number of accolades and success within their respective careers, both DJs still maintain the same adoration for the place where they both cut their teeth as selectors. This is more than just a festival, this is a celebration of Irish dance music.
