Max HeyraudYamamori Tengu always’s have their finger on the pulse when it comes utilising club spaces for innovative events, earlier last week they announced their new mid-week jazz events series. The 4 part sit-down jazz series will host; Andrea Jones Quartet, FIXITY, Five to Two & Lynch/Howard/Donohue/Scully Quartet, as well a host of DJ set’s on vinyl.
Earlier last week Yamamori Tengu announced they would be hosting a four part sit-down jazz series. The club will utilise it’s space to host something a little more relaxed than it’s regular club-night heavy schedule.
It can be difficult to navigate venues in Dublin City Centre that put on an onus on listening sessions mid-week, and while there might be a handful of venues catering to this market, there’s few hosting ticketed events for listening sessions. Tengu’s new and innovative sit-down jazz sessions will incorporate music, food and drinks to an array of generations on one Dublin’s finest sound-systems.
The series is comprised of 4 sit-down Jazz shows with some of Ireland’s best Jazz musicians, Andrea Jones Quartet, Fixity, Five to Two and Tengu Jazz with Lynch/Howard/Donohue/Scully Quartet. Support on the night will be all-vinyl sets from Jio, Queen Beatz, Emmy & Laetitia, all top selectors in the scene. There will be a tailored drink, sushi & gyoza menu for the night too! Something totally new for the space which is partly funded by the department of Tourism & Culture.
