Dublin based selector Ambit has an unwavering devotion to the deep soundscapes and intricate breakbeats of underground music, mainly Jungle and Drum & Bass.
After her first encounters with drum and bass, a relocation to Ireland gave her the opportunity to delve deeper into the music, and she was soon feverishly collecting albums. Inspired by artists such as LTJ Bukem, Omni Trio, DJ Crystl, and Equinox, she swiftly amassed the kind of record collection that people talk about in whispers and set out to create her own sound.
Ambit has performed for the legendary Tribe in the Twisted Pepper and elsewhere, as well as making regular guest appearances on Raidio Na Life 106.4FM with Executive Steve.
Years later, she’s mostly been deep down the production rabbithole, quietly honing her craft, and gradually piecing together a collection of precision-tooled weapons of her own at 140bpm, 170bpm, and beyond, all loosely united by her open-minded, modern attitude.
