Max HeyraudJust over a year since DART released on Hammer’s Remmah imprint, now the Dublin young gun joins Hammer for a collaborative EP on Shall Not Fade’s Killer Cuts series. The 4 track EP entitled ‘Scope’ is jam-packed with big room house and techno bangers which come complete with intricate ear worm melodies, anthemic pads and a remix from Frankfurt producer, Maruwa.
DART & Hammer have been two of Ireland’s most in demand DJs and producers within recent time. The pairing are known for their high energy house rooted sound, with an onus on dance-floor reminisce as the pairings sound’s are very much steeped in the history of club culture of their respected cities; Dublin & Belfast.
With similar sounds and a cross over in high energy trance soaked nostalgia, a collaborative project with Dublin’s DART and Belfast’s Hammer seemed like an absolute no brainer. The pair met up in Hammer’s London studio and jammed out for 12 hours, the day’s long jam resulted in this high octane record on Shall Not Fade.
The EP is seem’s like a dedication to in your face energy that both DART & Hammer are known for behind the booth, and the chaos that unfold on the dance-floor. Winding synth lines, warped atmosphere’s, trance soaked energy and pumping rhythms are just the tip of the iceberg as DART & Hammer join forces for hard hitting four tracker. Maruwa wraps up the EP with trance fuelled tribal rhythms and romantic melodies.
