Max HeyraudDeFeKT & Jensen Interceptor announced their return to Tresor earlier this week as they showcase their second EP on the legendary label this year entitled, ‘Free Your Body’.
Following their Free Your Mind EP released last May, Free Your Body is the second part of DeFeKT and Jensen Interceptor’s exploration of themes relating to attitudes towards chronic or hidden illness on Tresor. (Both producers have personal experience of the effects of MS, a chronic illness affecting the central nervous system).
As well as being a common passion of both producers, according to DeFeKT, electro is a “perfect vehicle to explore this feeling of having your body become alien to your mind…electro is an alien music to an extent. If you aren’t into the sound it probably sounds jerky and unnatural.”
The duo are two of the most respected artist’s in the field of electro today, and two EP’s in one year on one of the most fabled labels in electronic music reinforces the pair’s appetite for forward thinking creation.
