We’ve got some crisp Irish techno from up and coming producer Farlo under his new alias ‘i decided’. The young producer turns his focus away from industrial techno and has absorbed his time and energy into crafting minimal and atmospheric techno that is centred around a groove.

Previously producing under the monarch Farlo, Cormac Farlo aka i decided has now turned his head away from industrial techno and hard edged breaks, which have mostly comprised his musical output thus far. i decided now strips it all back into finely crafted techno tools, taking thing back to the basics with minimalist sound designs, question and answer drum programming and rolling low end grooves.

Having previously featured on numerous platforms, with a tangent of various styles, i decided seems to have found his groove. Previous releases have featured on Undivided Label, Speed Demons, Filth Inc, Motz and more. Now i decided features on the new Irish imprint HRLA with a 5 track EP including remixes from RAAB & Tremor.

Today we premiere the A2 ‘If You’re Hearing This Groove‘ which calls on brittle atmospheres, and rolling low end power. Bit reduced synth lines meet crackled percussion hits to create an eccentric groove that seems as clean cut as it does nasty and growling. An impressive offering from an Irish producer to watch over the next few months.

With the EP already receiving great support from young minimalistic techno dons Nicholas Vogler, Alaciro and Franz Jäger and more, we expect this EP to see a lot of attention on dance-floors as we head into the Autumn.
