NewKids Rec. is a German label created in 2019 by friends who have been creating together since they were teenagers. The mantra is techno, warehouse, and acid! Inspired by the origins of electronic music, the group combines old and new sounds and makes it their mission to share their musical vision with the world.
Maik Helm is a highly-rated DJ and producer hailing from Stuttgart, Germany. His music is a supplementary mix of dark and somber elements, added with driving drums and distorting creations. After more than 6 years of DJing, Maik Helm has developed an exceptional idea of DJing and a unique style, that combines new and old gen and never follows trends. His productions are influenced by the former rave scene, as well as by current big names like Dax J and Tommy Four Seven. All in all, he brings destruction to the dance floor.
We premiere Maik Helm’s next offering ‘Reir’ which leans on piercing acid warfare as the young producer turns up the intensity to the maximum. A squelching acid punches through the mix as it plays on top of jarring percussive grooves and hard-as-nails low-frequencies. Reminiscent of some classic Hydraulix records, which is always a good thing.
