One of Dublin’s most sought after techno producers Fran Hartnett releases his second EP of the year on Wicklow based imprint, Remote Town Records. The EP is comprised of classic Hartnett cuts as the Dublin based producer leans on dark and misty machine driven techno.

Fran Hartnett has been steadily working the outer realms of techno, experimental electronic music, and various forms of the visual arts, and is regarded as a significant contributor to Ireland’s techno scene.

Fran’s music has featured on numerous techno imprints across Europe including Audio Assault, Plector & User Experience. Fran’s music is held to extreme high regard by some of the most influential DJs within techno today. Continuous support on Fran’s music has come from Surgeon, Dave Clarke, Luke Slater, Truss, Xhin, AnD, Inigo Kennedy, The Lady Machine, Sunil Sharpe, Adam X, Cailín, Ben Sims and many more.

Fran’s passion passion for creativity doesn’t stop at music, as he’s devoted many years to visual art through painting, drawing, digital works and creating audio-visual displays. This eventually led him to an unexpected profession as a tattoo artist. Currently Fran is a resident artist at Skin City Tattoo in Dublin city centre.

Fran’s debut on Remote Town Records comes in the form of a 5 track digital EP. Remote Town Records was built on the ideology of supporting Irish music with a specific onus on artists from Wicklow and the surrounding areas. This releases serves as the labels 7th offering and add’s to the label’s distinctly deep and atmospheric collection of releases.

Fran’s five track EP Hard Detail Volume 1 sounds very much like a mini album as the Dublin based producer supplies an amalgamation of ambient cuts, off-kilter tools and high octane percussive grooves. Hypnotic structures and heaving analogue rhythms makes for a head scrambling collection of machine driven techno. Forward thinking techno from one of the best to ever do it.
