Irish born, London based house producer DJ Rouge features on Chez Damier & Brawther’s rework EP alongside French producer Roy Visions. Brawther and Chez Damier opened up a producer contest to the Interweaved community, DJ Rouge & Roy Visions contributions came out on top of the competition subsequently seeing the pair debut on Interweave.

Brawther and Chez Damier came up with the concept of a producer competition to bring the Interweaved community together. The winners of the first round of submissions shared their stems with the rest of the community and encouraged remixes, kind of like a US house producers’ version of the legendary grime MC battle competition “Lord of the Mics.”

French-born Roy Vision‘s track “4 One Another” a house bomb packed of sub-bass pressure, deftly used vocals, and clever drum programming, won the most votes in the online poll. Along with versions from Australian underground legend Marley Sherman, who won the award for his upbeat remix, the original is presented here.

The second-most-voted track came from Irish born DJ Rouge, who specialies in vintage Italian deep house. His remix is slower and more melancholy but boats robust rhythms, and Dunique’s spoken word portion gives the original and the upbeat, cheery-sounding mix from Montreal’s South Shore Garage a quiet philosophical touch.
