Shannen Blessing continues her strong output of self releases as she announces her latest single. Shannen’s been honing in on a sound that is centred around bouncing rhythms, jerking style synth lines and tongue n cheek style vocals. Her discography so far seems to be an ode to classic ghetto house & techno, while also intertwining her signature churning techno grooves.
Hot on the back of announcing she will return to Life Festival this May, Shannen follow’s up with a feverishly crude and whole heartedly funky. ‘BIg Bad Pussy’ see’s Shannen sample Cardi B to great affect, showing the original track in a melting pot of gritty synth hooks and bouncing grooves.
“This is my first release on Bandcamp, after having all my previous tracks available as free downloads, I felt it was finally time to release on Bandcamp. This is by far one of my favourite tracks I have produced, I wanted to keep the track simple enough, as I feel the vocal is the main hook & carries the other elements in the track. I have sampled the vocal from the track ‘’Up’’ by Cardi B. I chose this vocal as I love the tone of her voice and think it fits perfectly into the track.”
