EMA’s Woozy label announces it’s next compilation, WZY2.5; a new compilation highlighting 8 artists from Ireland and afar that embody the imprint’s obsession with low-end futurism.
Following Woozy’s second release last year, which featured Coe and Or:la, the Dublin label turns it focus towards a broad spanning varied artist’s compilation featuring music from Ireland and beyond. The release notably features two production debuts and acts as an exciting snapshot of the talented global community surrounding the label and its founder.
The release is littered with bass heavy sounds, shuffling rhythms and temperamental drum programming. The release touches on familiar, avant-garde and breakthrough producers from across the globe, with a particular focus on Ireland’s bass heavy producers.
At a first glance the compilation brushes across blustering low-end of all end’s of the sub shaking spectrum, cruising through claustrophobic bass swells, rave driven hardcore, slippery two-step grooves and nail biting drum and bass rollers. It’s everything you’d come to expect from the relevantly fresh-faced label, yet it’s subtle nuances veers it away from your recurrent bass music compilations, that can be easily forgotten.
High quality music from a propitious Dublin based label.
