Rising DJ Aoise has just been announced for a landmark performance at Berlin’s legendary Tresor for Out Rage Records. Aoise joins a long list of previous Irish acts to grace the illustrious caged booth, with fellow ex-pat Sparkling Water Dreams holding down Aurora Bar B2B Mister Willis on the night.
Aoise has recently made her mark on the Berlin club scene, having previously played at Club Ost, KitKat, //about blank, AVA Club, and other venues. Her refined approach to DJing takes her into deeper and more cavernous areas of the techno spectrum, adopting a less-is-more approach to record selection and presentation, focussing on high-quality loops designed to move bodies. Aoise’s dedication to this philosophy is ingrained in her blood, as she patiently worked in the shadows for many years before emerging as a burgeoning new name in the home of contemporary techno.
Aoise draws inspiration from techno luminaries such as Oscar Mulero and Ø [Phase], channelling a refined and profound energy that captivates listeners from the first beat to the last. Her sound is distinguished by meticulous attention to detail, combining driving basslines with evolving, hypnotic elements that push the limits of conventional techno.
Aoise is now preparing for a landmark performance at Tresor, a club whose legacy is inextricably linked to the history of techno. The Tresor label has housed some of the most important techno works of all time, while its new and old venues have provided a haven for techno mavericks and purists. Playing the caged booth is one of the most important accomplishments a DJ can achieve.
Aoise plays at Fuinneamh on Sunday the 15th and in Dublin’s Pawn Shop all night on Friday the 13th.
