The Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crew‘s track ‘The Spark’ was released in the summer, it went viral, with celebrities sharing the track TikTok and Instagram. The track is now sitting at 5.9 million views on Youtube.
The song was composed by approximately 30 local children aged nine to twelve, as well as a group of refugees residing in Lisdoonvarna, County Clare. Rhyme Island provides creative workshops for children in Cruinniú na nÓg and beyond.
The Spark is now nominated for two Grammys next year, Best Dance/Electronic Recording and Song of the Year, with Grammy academy voters deciding on the final shortlist of nominations.
