Cuba, the newest club to operate in Galway, will officially open next weekend with some pop-up shows featuring this weekend. The venue, located in the heart of Galway, will host alternative music ranging from techno to drum & bass, hip-hop, experimental and more.

Another late-night club is about to open in Galway, putting the city back on the nightlife map. Cuba will celebrate its official opening next weekend as well as some pop-up shows this weekend with a diverse range of leftfield sounds including techno, dubstep, experimental, and more.

Cuba will have a heavy focus on alternative music, with bookers leaning towards D&B, hip hop, world music, live performances, and, of course, house and techno. The venue will welcome international acts while also supporting the local community and grassroots artists, as well as giving Galway another much-needed dance floor.

The venue closed 15 years ago. The facility has hosted legendary musicians including Mr. Scruff, Kormac, Groove Armada, Beardyman, and Japanese Popstars, among others.
