The 18th edition of Culture Night has been announced for Friday, September 22. Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir is brought to you by the Arts Council as we celebrate a national event that honours culture, creativity, and the arts across Ireland.

Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir returns for its 18th iteration on Friday, September 22. Each year Culture Night serves as a national moment in celebration of culture, creativity and the arts while seeking to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.  It is delivered nationwide in cities, towns, villages and rural locations as well as online and through Culture Night’s media partners.

Culture Night celebrated one of its most fruitful years yet as in 2022 as 742,000 people engaged with 1,700 Culture Night events. The world is still feeling the impact of the pandemic, and people are embracing the arts and culture in a whole new way.

This years Culture Night will see doors open later and special, one-of-a-kind events will be scheduled specifically at participating locations on September 22nd, 2023. All activities will be free to the public as a result of the Arts Council’s and local authorities’ ongoing support across the island of Ireland.
