Dublin loses yet another iconic club as Farrier & Draper closes its doors.
A staple in the city for many years, the venue, formerly known as Lost Society, has long been a cornerstone of Dublin’s late-night club culture. Located in the heart of the city, it played a key role in shaping club culture over the last few years.
The South William Street venue, owned by Frank Gleeson, has officially closed its doors. Gleeson, who also owns the nearby restaurant The Green Hen, saw that establishment go into liquidation earlier this year. According to a report from TheCurrency.com, the venue shut down on Thursday, April 3rd, and is now listed as ‘Temporarily Closed’ on Google.
Lovin Dublin confirmed earlier today that the venue had “unexpectedly closed.” Meanwhile, reports suggest that Eclective Hospitality—formerly known as Press Up and now operating under new ownership following Cheyne Capital’s takeover—is currently in negotiations to acquire the prominent Dublin bar and restaurant, marking its first major move since the transition.
