Dublin-based music venue, pub and restaurant Dashi has announced they will permanently close. In their statement, they’ve said ‘Things have remained unsustainable for too long and it’s time to move on’.

Dashi becomes the next Dublin City music venue to announce its closure. The venue located in Stoneybatter hosted an array of left-field and alternative music events, including a number of popular Dublin club nights including Hidden Love, Reclaim The Mainframe, Elements Electric, Steel, and more.

The music venue was owned by the same people who ran the popular restaurant Soup 2 in Smithfield, around the corner from Dashi. Both businesses will cease trading from this Sunday onwards.

With a heavy heart, we announce our closure of both Soup 2 and Dashi. Unfortunately, things have remained unsustainable for too long now and it’s time to move on. Sunday coming is our final day of trade. Thanks for everything. Stay tuned for an exciting new project at this location.
