UK DJ and producer Ashley Beedle, known for his work with Disco Evangelists and X-Press 2, suffered a brain bleed and seizure in February 2024, leading to loss of movement on his right side and impaired speech. Fundraisers for his treatment are taking place in Dublin, Belfast, and London, with performances from Fatboy Slim, Giles Peterson, David Holmes, Aoife Nic Canna and others.

After fighting Stage 4 prostate cancer for the past four years and completing his final treatment in October 2023, Ashley Beedle faced a heartbreaking setback in November 2023. He experienced a brain bleed and seizure from a ruptured brain mass, and during a 16-hour surgery to remove the mass in February 2024, he suffered a severe stroke, resulting in the loss of movement in his right leg and arm, as well as the loss of speech.

Thanks to exceptional care from the NHS, Ashley’s speech is slowly returning, and he’s being discharged from rehab. However, he’ll remain in a nursing home until suitable assisted living is found. Sadly, he won’t regain movement on his right side and will require a wheelchair and full-time care for daily activities.

Ashley and his wife Jo have exhausted their savings to get this far, and now they need our support. Funds raised will help provide a secure future, covering private physio, wheelchair-friendly furniture, and a hospital bed for home use.
