Index has operated in 39-40 Arran Quay, Smithfield since 2017. The club has seen a number of changes, owners, and promoters in its time. Originally called 39/40, before rebranding to Here & Now, and previously known as Voodoo Lounge, the space has been an integral part of Dublin’s music scene for many years. The Index team has been operating in space for over six years, and in that time the space has changed dramatically. The club boosted its capacity and changed the layout post-covid, making the space the successor to District 8’s former home at Jam Park.
