Max HeyraudCity Sounds, a late-night dance event celebrating Ireland’s growing sound system culture, debuts during Culture Night 2024. From 21:00 to midnight, Dublin’s streets will be filled with the sounds of handcrafted systems provided by Bang Bike (Belfast), Interruption (Dublin), and Rise Up Soundsystem (Cork) in three different locations.
Funded by Culture Night Late, City Sounds is set to transform Dublin’s streets into a celebration of Ireland’s sound system culture. The new late-night dance event will offer three outdoor dancefloors, each curated by some of the island’s most innovative sound system collectives.
The outdoor parties will take place at Central Plaza, Essex Street, and Capel Street. This setup celebrates the rich diversity of Ireland’s electronic club and soundysystem culture by bringing three crews together on one of the most important nights in the club culture calendar.
The inaugural culture night event will provide a fresh and comprehensive look at Ireland’s burgeoning soundsystem culture, a frequently overlooked aspect of club culture. This is a celebration of earth-shattering bass in unique locations.
