Deep Groove present a Dance 4 Delano, a fundraiser event for Detroit pioneer Delano Smith next month who is suffering from a rare form of cancer. On June 2nd Deep Groove team up with Subject, Bodytonic, and a number of high-profile Irish DJs to raise money for Delano Smiiiths chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

Delano Smith, who was born in Chicago but raised in Detroit, has been praised by Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Norm Talley, and many more. The experienced artist is known for both deep house and techno and has many releases on his own label, Mixmode Recordings, as well as Sushitech Records. Deeper Fundamentals 2 was one of his most recent releases.

Deep Groove are holding an event in collaboration with Subject & Bodytonic as Delano Smith was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last year and he is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. His friends and family are hoping to raise $250,000 to help pay medical bills that his own health insurance does not cover.

The event will include DJ sets from Tr One, Glenn Davis, Doug Cooney, Brendan C, Cameratraxx, Alan Buckley, Southbound Sounds, Paul Allen, Ant of Generic People, and more at Wigwam.
