Dublin singer Jazzy has officially surpassed legendary Irish artists Sinéad O’Connor and Enya to become the world’s most popular Irish female artist on Spotify.

Crumlin-born pop star Jazzy has quickly risen to prominence, amassing 7.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify after breaking through with her debut single Giving Me last year. This achievement places her ahead of Irish icons like the late Sinéad O’Connor, who has 5.3 million listeners, and Donegal’s Enya, with 4.8 million.

With 151 million streams, Giving Me has become one of the most-streamed Irish singles in recent years, topping the Irish singles chart and reaching #3 on the UK chart.

In just 18 months since its release in March 2023, the track has propelled Jazzy to become the fifth-biggest Irish solo artist, behind only Hozier, Van Morrison, Niall Horan, and Dermot Kennedy. Her No. 1 hit made her the first Irish woman in over 14 years to top the Irish charts, while also securing a spot in the UK Top 3.

Jazzy wrote via Instagram “I’m honestly lost for words… just a small girl from Dublin. I love you all so much for making this real life for me.”
