Derry party Jika Jika yesterday announced new plans for a multipurpose warehouse space on the edge of the city centre. There are no official announcements just yet, but the team have hinted to keep an eye out for a Halloween date.

Derry like many other cities across Ireland, has been robbed of a number of nightclubs which DJs, promoters, and dancers called home in their city. One of the city’s most revered parties Jika Jika has been struggling to promote parties in their hometown due to a lack of space for late-night dance music showcases.

The house and techno promoters have now announced they will be launching a new venue which will be a ‘multipurpose warehouse space on the edge of the city centre’. Although the announcement doesn’t give any details it alludes to a Halloween show, as well as promising ‘raves’.

“Derry was once a booming hotspot regularly welcoming some of the biggest names in the industry and our aim is to recreate those special moments for you all to enjoy once more”
