Irish techno legend Jon Hussey celebrates 30 years of DJing in Galway’s Cuba tonight. The Dublin techno pioneer will commemorate the occasion with an extended set at Galway’s newest venue with Basement Project.

Jon Hussey is a certified legend in the Irish techno scene, and tonight he celebrates 30 years of techno parties at Galway’s Cuba. Jon has shared the booth with some of dance music’s most iconic figures, including Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, The Advent, Neil Landstrumm, and Thomas P Heckmann. The Irishman has a long history of touring Europe and has become a regular at various Berkin booths, including a memorable performance with Mark Broom at the legendary Tresor.

Cuba opens its door early tonight as Jon Hussey returns for an extended set with one of Galway’s most consistent parties, Basement Project. Doors open at 9 p.m. with Ian Harte on support before Hussey takes the reigns for 4 hours.

The Irish don will go deep into his extensive selection of dancefloor-ready techno, weaving in and out of various burning rhythms and demonstrating his three decades of mixing and selecting experience.
