Mystify debuts its Empower event series, which focuses on presenting marginalised artists. The inaugural iteration of EmpowHER brings a selection of female-identifying artists to Dublin’s Soundhouse this Saturday.
The presentation offers an all-encompassing glimpse at female-identifying talent, as Mystify brings together a range of art forms and artists under one roof at Dublin’s Soundhouse.
Mystify hosts live poetry by Sarah and Rachel on the Soundhouse Terrace as they kick off the night at 10.30. Following the poetry, the night will shift to a more club-focused sound as the terrace welcomes Nilaaa, MAV, and Steak, who soundtrack the outdoor area with tech house, techno, and hard techno.
MisstMad and Sémaé will handle the early hours of the main room before Parisian-based DJ and producer Clara Francese takes over, bringing her own take on techno, blurring the borders between classic Detroit sounds and menacing Dutch-submerged acid. The main room roster is rounded up by a surprise live session from Lewwab and Lxverboy, who are bringing their machines for a techno workout.
“Through this initiative, we want to leverage art to create bridges and connections, fostering inclusivity and diversity in the artistic community.”
