Jamie xx has released “Waited All Night (Nia Archives Remix),” the first remix from his In Waves album. Nia Archives brings a high-octane hardcore spin to the track, keeping it unapologetically UK in this iconic collaboration.
The Bradford-born, Leeds-raised, and London-based Nia Archives has delivered a rave-soaked hardcore remix of Jamie xx‘s “Waited All Night.” The original track, featuring fellow The xx members Romy and Oliver Sim, was already one of the most anticipated on the album as the band reunited. Now, Mercury Prize nominee Nia Archives bolsters its reputation further with her remix.
Speaking on the remix Nia said “I was so buzzin to remix this one as ma favourite tune from jamie’s new album,” Nia says. ‘Had to go full happy hardcore mode on tha flip and it’s been going off at all ma US/EU tour dates the past couple of months!!”
The remix follows Nia’s debut album, “Silence Is Loud”, which was recently shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. It also comes on the heels of her just-completed EU and UK tour, which wrapped up last week with a stop at The Academy in Dublin on Saturday, November 2.
