Dublin-based duo Puzzy Wrangler step up to our OPEN-TO-CLOSE club series on August 24th at Tengu. The rising duo has been one of the standout new artists to emerge in 2024, and they now take on the third instalment of the OPEN-TO-CLOSE series, which sees artists play extended sets to further strengthen their artistic development.

Our OPEN-TO-CLOSE series focuses on allowing emerging Irish DJs to perform extended sets. Allowing DJs to play longer than the typical hour or two formats in Ireland promotes the growth of our grassroots artists. Unfortunately, most DJs have few opportunities to play longer sets in clubs due to our outdated and stringent licensing laws.

We return to Tengu, a Dublin city staple and venue that is consistent with our mission of promoting grassroots talent. Following a hugely successful second instalment with Sam Greenwood and Aeron XTC, it felt natural to return to Tengu.

We extend the third invitation to play OPEN-TO-CLOSE to Dublin’s newest duo, Puzzy Wrangler. Their broad-spanning sets draw from a variety of genres, including old-school hard house, junglist percussion, UK grime, and Latin funk. Since their inception in 2022, they have organised their own sold-out gigs, collaborated with local collectives, and launched a monthly mix series dedicated to highlighting emerging FLINTA DJs.
