Resound hosts a tribute day for late Dublin DJ Jake Malone, who passed away earlier this year. This Saturday, close friends will celebrate his life through music at The Soundhouse and Bow Lane, with all proceeds going to the Blanchardstown Hospital Foundation.
Earlier this year, Dublin’s house music scene lost a key figure. Jake Malone was an important contributor for more than a decade, promoting and performing at events all over the city, earning the community’s respect and love. He is well-known for his work with Resound, where he played an important role in fostering emerging talent.
This weekend, a number of Jake’s friends will celebrate his life and love of music with two parties, the first being a private day party of friends at The Soundhouse, a venue where Jake frequently performed. The second was a club show at Bow Lane, another venue where Jake often played, in support of the Blanchardstown Hospital Foundation.
The night party will offer free entry, allowing everyone to join in the celebration without any cost. However, optional donations at the door are encouraged for those who wish to contribute. Please note that the venue has a limited capacity of 200 people, so arriving early is recommended.
