Sade is making her long-awaited return with ‘Young Lion,’ her first new track since 2018, featured on the upcoming trans benefit album ‘TRAИƧA.’ The heartfelt song is a tribute to her transgender son, Izaak.
Sade hasn’t released any music since 2018, when she wrote “Flower of the Universe” and “The Big Unknown” for film soundtracks “A Wrinkle in Time” and “Widows,” respectively. It’s her first official release since her “Soldier Of Love” album in 2010.
The non-profit group Red Hot will release their latest compilation CD, ‘TRAИƧA’, on November 22. The non-profit is committed to improving public health and diversity by ensuring equal access to services. André 3000, Teddy Geiger + Yaeji, L’Rain, Arthur Baker, Grouper, and others have all contributed work to the compilation.
Speaking about the upcoming VA, Dust Reid, who co-produced it with Massima Bell, said: “We hoped to create a narrative that positions trans and non-binary people as leaders in our society insofar as the deep inner work they do to affirm who they are in our current climate.”
