SHIMMER is collaborating with Muintearas to host a crucial fundraising event for RAMSI (Refugee and Migrant Solidarity Ireland) in Tengu this Saturday. The event will donate 100% of the profits to RAMSI, which supports migrants, international protection applicants, and refugees in Ireland through direct assistance.
RAMSI is a group dedicated to improving the lives of the over 30,000 living in direct provision (DP) and emergency accommodation centres across the country. These centres are frequently located in remote areas, lack adequate facilities, and are especially inappropriate for children. RAMSI addresses these issues through advocacy and support services, aiming to create a more humane environment for those seeking refuge in Ireland.
The fundraiser at Tengu will feature an all-star lineup of local DJ talent, as some of the country’s best DJs come together for a good cause. The lineup welcomes DJ iPhone Charger (Rory Sweeney), Roo Honeychild, JWY, Surka, Naoise, and SHIMMER DJs.
Tickets for the event are available online, with options to donate even if you cannot attend. All proceeds will directly support RAMSI’s work in providing essential resources and advocacy for Ireland’s migrant communities.
